Luna and Celestia often visited the Crystal Empire. Luna had a secret crush on a stallion named Sombra, and Sombra on her. He was an orphan as a boy and had only one childhood friend, Radiant Hope, who then left to go to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. He grew up and met Luna. Sombra was one of the only ponies that Luna spoke to about her struggles with everypony adoring the daytime and not her nighttime. Luna was also the only pony that Sombra told about his struggles. His great grandfather once tried to take over the Crystal Empire because darkness filled his heart. The thought that he was related to somepony so dark like him haunted
